My Story…
My name is Ildiko, and I am a certified yoga instructor and yoga teacher trainer.
Yoga became a part of my life in 2004 as a way to deal with stress working in sales. My interest has evolved over the years to include Bikram, Ashtanga, Anusara, Vinyasa Flow, Gentle, and Restorative styles.
In 2012, I gave up my full-time job which required sacrifices and a great deal of courage. I completed my 200 hours of yoga teacher training, registered with Yoga Alliance, and started teaching. Trusting myself and taking a leap of faith in something new was extremely scary and very exciting at the same time.
Over the years, I naturally found my teaching style and talent in gentle yoga. I try to teach with kindness, patience, optimism, and encouragement to trust in one’s self. Instilling all of what yoga has to offer in mind, body, and spirit is my purpose and passion.
A Few Facts About Me:
- I am happily married and share a household with senior, rescue animals. My husband and my pets are my everything.
- My biggest influences are my parents. I am lucky to have them both.
- Because I am naturally creative I recycle, repurpose, or reuse everything. I can’t save the planet on my own, but I am certainly trying to do my part.
- Since I am a yogini, I have compassion for all living things. I even escort spiders out of the house and fish bees out of the pool.
- Reading 30 minutes EVERY day keeps me up to date on my craft. Most of it, of course, is about yoga and personal growth. I enjoy trying and creating new yoga sequences and reading up on anatomy or yoga philosophy.
- According to the Myers-Briggs personality test, I am an INTJ. INTJs may appear to project an aura of definiteness and self-confidence. INTJs know what they know, and perhaps more importantly, they know what they don’t know. People of this type are perfectionists, with a seemingly endless capacity for improving upon anything that takes their interest. Their strengths in the interpersonal area are their intuitive abilities and their willingness to work at a relationship.
- Top 5 strengths: compassion, kindness, love of learning, curiosity, speaking my mind (yes, this later one bites me in the butt sometimes).
